Sarah Pedersen, Acting Executive Director of the Adoption Council of Canada writes, "Our launch event on Parliament Hill was a tremendous success and it looks like we have possibilities for every child/youth/sibling set in our Heart Gallery. We wouldn't be here without you and thank you again for your ongoing support and dedication to the project as we hopefully expand across Canada.

New Mexico: The Heart Gallery of New Mexico will celebrate 10 year anniversary. Diane Granito, our Heart Gallery founder writes, "I am working on a celebration for next March here in Santa Fe and wanted to let you know that March 2011 marks the tenth anniversary of the Heart Gallery (March 2001 was the first one, at the Gerald Peters Gallery). We may do a small concert with Randy Travis for the Heart Gallery of New Mexico Foundation and there will definitely be an opening of portraits at the gallery.

Arkansas: Heart Gallery goes digital. Amy Harris of the LOVED Project and Heart Gallery of Arkansas writes, "Thanks to Team Sawyer and Aspen Transportation the LOVED Project has been able to take our Heart Gallery Digital.  By the generous donation of 15 Digital Heart Gallery Frames that feature the same children searching for a Forever Family as our Original Heart Gallery we have now been able to reach more public and bring more awareness about these children by seeking businesses across NE Arkansas to agree to display these beautiful frames"

Ketucky: 2010 Heart Gallery Opening planned. Stacy Hait from Kentucky tells us that  Thursday's Child, a local nonprofit, has agreed to be the sponsor of our Heart Gallery, "Kentucky Art from the Heart Gallery."  We now have a professional logo, and larger 16x20 size photos, printed on foam board, with our logo.  The opening for the 2010 Gallery is scheduled for August, in collaboration with Thursday's Child, "Night of the Stars,", an annual fundraising event, featuring many local celebrities, in Lexington.

A great way to celebrate with Birthday Buddies. Jesse Miller of Tampa Bay tells us about a new program they've developed called Birthday Buddies that ensures every child has customized gifts to open on their special day, presents from their wish-list and that care managers, foster parents and other workers are alerted in advance of an upcoming birthday.

Heart Gallery of America is growing to help YOU!

Before the end of 2010, Heart Gallery® groups nationwide will be invited to become a member of Heart Gallery® of America. The goal of Heart Gallery® of America membership is to increase the impact, influence and effectiveness of each Heart Gallery® nationwide, and to promote, strengthen and advance the cause of raising awareness and finding loving, adoptive families for children in foster care in need of "forever homes".

Membership benefits will include:

  • Improved ability to photolist your children on the Heart Gallery of America website
  • National sponsorship and organizational support opportunities
  • Fiscal and legal sponsorship; the ability to utilize HGA 501 c 3 status
  • Working together to generate better outcomes at the legislative and state policy level for the children that we serve.
  • Ability to provide a broader platform to communicate the Heart Gallery message of finding forever families
  • Forums by Heart Galleries and for Heart Galleries to exchange ideas and best practices, network and grow, share and problem solve
  • The chance to participate in the planning of the HGA conference as it is developed.

As a Heart Gallery of America Member, YOU are the voice of Heart Gallery of America, and will help grow the organization and determine how it serves you.

Together we can make a difference, one child at a time.

Thank you for supporting our belief that every child deserves a loving, permanent home and for helping us to change the future, one child at a time. Your contribution will enable us to continue:

  • Funding vital support services, and future initiatives such as grant opportunities for Heart Galleries
